Local community members, students, nature enthusiasts, and early-career researchers in regions with known or suspected bat populations.

Whether a simple, locally coordinated log increases the geographic and species coverage of bat observations compared to existing expert surveys or digital-only platforms. Proposed validation: Proposed pilot target: At least 30 unique bat sighting records from 3–5 groups over two months. Baseline: zero community-collected records in the target area. Success: ≥60% of logs are complete and usable for mapping. Measured by researcher review.
