Community Science Logbook for Small-Scale Fishers

コミュニティ

Develop a simple, paper-based or digital logbook protocol for small-scale fishers to record daily catch, effort, and basic environmental observations. The logbo

アイデア · その他

A pilot logbook (paper or basic spreadsheet) co-designed with 5–10 volunteer fishers in one coastal community, facilitated by a local NGO or research partner. The pilot would run for 3 months, with weekly check-ins and a final review workshop to assess usability and data quality. 問題

報告書は、世界の生物多様性の誓約において小規模漁業者への科学と説明責任を強化するよう求めています。実践的なプロジェクトは、地元の漁業者とデータ収集を結びつけることができるかもしれません。

何をつくっているか

対象者

Small-scale fishers, local fisher associations, and community resource managers in coastal and island states participating in national biodiversity action plans.

なぜ重要か

Hypothesis: A co-designed, low-tech logbook increases fisher engagement and produces more relevant data for local management than external scientific surveys alone. Proposed validation: Proposed pilot target: At least 80% of pilot fishers complete entries for 75% of fishing days over 3 months. Compare data completeness and relevance to baseline (no logbook). Measured by logbook review and participant survey.
