Problem

Bangladeshi workers face recruitment traps leading to forced military service in Russia. This project proposes a practical checklist to help communities verify overseas job offers.

What they are building

A one-page, Bengali-language checklist, reviewed by a local NGO or community leader, distributed to 50 households in a high-migration village in Lakshmipur district. The trial would run for one month, with follow-up interviews to assess use and understanding. Why it matters

Hypothesis: A locally-distributed, language-accessible paper checklist will be more readily used and understood by target users than online resources or official pamphlets. Proposed validation: Proposed pilot target: At least 30% of distributed checklists are used by households to review a job offer within one month. Baseline: No prior use of such checklists. Measured by follow-up interviews and self-reporting.
